As part of the initiative, Hollywood has teamed up to present an incredible assortment of offerings for a charity auction on eBay, including once in a lifetime experience packages and signed memorabilia from some of today’s most celebrated stars. Over the last 5 years eBay Giving Works has raised over $150 million for non-profit organizations through their charity auctions, and Variety’s Power of Youth benefiting St Jude is excited to now be on board. The event linked to the initiative, Target Presents Variety’s Power of Youth, took place in Los Angeles, at L.A. LIVE on Saturday, October 4, 2008. Patients from St. Jude and their families joined invited guests and Selena Gomez, Miranda Cosgrove, Angus T. Jones, Dustin Milligan, AnnaLynne McCord, and Jodie Sweetin along with many of their peers who make up young Hollywood for an afternoon that included live performances, interactive games and activities, and a special visit by Bullseye, the Target dog.

Variety’s Power of Youth initiative was launched in 2007 in conjunction with the Youth Impact Report, an editorial look at the top young talent in Hollywood today.
