Allow me to start by saying thank you to Ashley, Pray4Jonas, and everyone at JonasBrothersAngels.com. I feel so honored to be your “Angel of the Month.” This is such a wonderful site and I love coming to it every day to read all that you crazy kids have to say! I am going to try to make this like a story, a narrative if you will.

A little over a year ago a very good friend of mine came over to spend the night. She mentioned that she had fallen in love with a band called Jonas Brothers.  My response was, “Isn’t that that lame boy band on the Disney Channel?” (In those days I thought that I was way too cool for the Disney Channel.) She told me to look them up and just listen to one of their songs, then try to tell her that they weren’t great.  Of course I looked them up, but only so that I would honestly be able to tell her that they were not to my liking.  Who would have thought that I would fall head over heels for this band of brothers from New Jersey.  Soon they were all I listened to and I was researching them like crazy!  I discovered that they were all Christian guys.  But what was that on their left hands?  A PURITY RING! I couldn’t believe it!  I told my mom all about these amazing three musicians and she said, “I approve of this band. You have my permission to marry them.” (She is so funny sometimes!) At last, a band that is great to listen to and to look up to.

One day, whilst I was searching for pictures of these three equally gorgeous boys, I came across I website called JonasBrothersAngels.com.  I couldn’t help it, I was intrigued! Soon I realized that it was a Christian fan-site.  How great is that?  At once I registered for an account and I was on my way!  For a while I was a little awkward about posting in the forums.  Only a few posts every couple of weeks.  Then one late night I couldn’t sleep.  This seemed like a good time to log on and see if I could make some cyber friends!  I came across a thread in which a few people were having a conversation.  Not wanted to interrupt, I considered looking around for another place to chat.  Instead I decided to bite my lip and get it over with!  Everyone was so welcoming and nice.  Within minutes I was a regular Chatty Cathy.  The people I remember being there stayed up with me one night until I finally made it to 100 posts.  Just then I realized that this was an amazing site!  Not only was everyone so incredibly sweet, but they were all Christian and had a fierce belief in God.  I had never felt so at home on a website before.

 
Now it is just about the only place I go to when I get onto the computer.  The internet is filled with so many things and places that I would not want to come in contact with, but this site, JonasBrothersAngels.com, is a safe place I could come to to talk about God and the Jonas Brothers and just about anything!  This site has become a place of welcoming and fun and friendship and faith for me.  A place I can come to and know that there will be at least one person willing to listen to my problems and silliness.  A place I could call my Cyberspace Home.
